FLW Day Four ... Game on!
Walleye FirstPublished September 27, 2008
The field of ten left the Rifle Range Ramp this morning under absolutely perfect conditions. A SE breeze will slow current a bit as temperature reach low 70's and the winds behave nicely.
The absence of the co-angler today changes everything, as the event is now back to strict 'no cull' status. What does this mean? The event has always been no cull, however, anglers previously had a three-fish cushion courtesy of having a co-angler in the boat. Without that cushion, the order the pros catch and keep fish will be critical to weighing-in the winning basket.
Observations-Mr. Skarlis was definitely ready for the day.
-Ross Grothe felt it was going to be a great day of fishing, and the fact they are fishing for a TON of money is a bonus.
-Brett King reported leaving 4 plus pounds in the water yesterday releasing fish he now feels he should have kept, but as he said, " No one remembers who took fifth; I had to go for it."
