Ever have a "hang fire"? This is when the cap pops but the powder doesn't ignite for a second or two. I've had one, maybe 2 second delay that suprised me so much I forgot I was shooting a deer. I think the primer hole had gathered some moisture from bringing the gun in and out of freezing weather, but I'm not sure. This is a 15 y/o Knight In-Line .50.

yup, had that happen when i switched to blackhorn 209 powder last year.drilled out the breech plug to 1/16" and never happened again.we did the same to 4-5 other rifles and they never hang fired either.
